SALINE — Pitching depth has Hartland one victory away from a second straight regional baseball championship. This time it was sophomore Michael Zielinski, with an assist from Gavin Nash, who closed the door on a postseason opponent. Hartland, ranked No. 16 in the state, emerged with a 1-0 victory over Saline Wednesday in a Division 1 regional semifinal. Zielinski, who was fourth in Hartland's rotation before a sore arm kept ace Gannon Grundman from pitching, gave up only three hits and struck out eight in 5⅓ innings.
